So, what is huile desoja?
Huile de soja, or soybean oil in English, is a versatile and widely-used cooking oil made from the seeds of soybeans. With a light, neutral flavor, this oil can be used for frying, baking, and as a base for salad dressings and sauces. It is also a common ingredient in processed foods such as snack foods, margarine, and mayonnaise. Soybean oil is high in polyunsaturated fats, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, making it a heart-healthy choice when used in moderation. It is also a good source of vitamin E, an important antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
