So, what is isolated soya protein?

Isolated soy protein, also known as soy protein isolate, is a highly refined and concentrated form of protein derived from soybeans. It is produced by removing the majority of the fats and carbohydrates from soybeans, leaving behind a powder that is over 90% protein. Isolated soy protein is a popular ingredient in many vegetarian and vegan products, as it provides a complete source of protein that is easily digestible and has a neutral taste. It is also commonly used in the food industry as a functional ingredient, due to its ability to improve texture, emulsify, and bind other ingredients together.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like isolated soya protein?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
