So, what is kaliumhydroxid?
Kaliumhydroxid, also known as potassium hydroxide or caustic potash, is a chemical compound with the formula KOH. It is a highly alkaline and corrosive substance, commonly used in the production of various chemicals, soaps, and detergents. Kaliumhydroxid is also used in the food industry as a food processing aid, pH adjuster, and stabilizer. It is often used in the manufacture of cocoa powder, chocolates, and other food products. Despite its corrosive nature, kaliumhydroxid is considered safe for use in food when used within the allowed limits and with appropriate safety measures.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
