So, what is kardemom?
Kardemom, also known as cardamom, is a spice with a warm, slightly sweet flavor that is commonly used in Middle Eastern, Indian, and Scandinavian cuisine. It comes from the seeds of a plant in the ginger family and is often used in both sweet and savory dishes, such as curries, chai tea, and baked goods. Kardemom has also been used for medicinal purposes in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to aid digestion, improve breath, and promote oral health. Its distinct aroma and taste make it a versatile ingredient that can add depth and complexity to a wide range of dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
