So, what is карнаубов восък?
Carnauba wax, also known as "карнаубов восък" in Bulgarian, is a natural wax derived from the leaves of the carnauba palm tree, which is native to Brazil. It is considered one of the hardest natural waxes and has a high melting point, making it ideal for use in various industries, including food, cosmetics, and automotive. In the food industry, carnauba wax is commonly used as a glazing agent to provide a shiny appearance to fruits, vegetables, and confectionery products. It is also used to coat pills and tablets in the pharmaceutical industry. Despite its many uses, carnauba wax is non-toxic and safe for consumption.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
