So, what is karpalo?
Karpalo, also known as lingonberry, is a small, bright red fruit that grows on low shrubs in the boreal forests of the Northern Hemisphere. It has a tart, slightly sweet flavor that makes it a popular ingredient in jams, jellies, sauces, and baked goods. Karpalo is high in antioxidants and vitamins, and has been used for centuries in traditional medicine to treat a variety of ailments. In Nordic cuisine, it is often served with meat dishes, such as reindeer or meatballs, or used as a condiment for porridge or yogurt.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
