So, what is kieselsäure?
Kieselsäure, also known as silicic acid or silica, is a natural compound that occurs abundantly in nature. It is commonly found in the earth's crust and various forms of rock, sand, and clay. Kieselsäure has many industrial applications, including its use in the production of glass, ceramics, and electronics. In food, kieselsäure is often used as an anti-caking agent and to improve the flow of powdered ingredients. It is also believed to have beneficial effects on bone health and is sometimes used as a dietary supplement. While generally recognized as safe for consumption, excessive intake of kieselsäure can potentially lead to digestive issues.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
