So, what is kokosnøtt?
Kokosnøtt, also known as coconut, is a versatile tropical fruit that's native to Southeast Asia. The outer layer of the fruit is tough and fibrous while the inner part is white and fleshy. This meaty portion can be grated or shredded to create flakes, used in cooking, baking, or as a topping for desserts. Coconut milk, which is derived from the flesh, is a rich and creamy ingredient used in savoury dishes like curries and soups. Additionally, coconut oil extracted from the fruit has gained popularity as a healthy alternative to other cooking oils due to its high smoke point and numerous health benefits.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
