So, what is kurkuma!?
Kurkuma, also known as turmeric, is a spice that has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic and traditional medicine. It's derived from the root of the Curcuma longa plant, which is native to Southeast Asia. The bright yellow-orange color of kurkuma comes from its active ingredient, curcumin, which has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Along with its culinary uses, such as adding depth and flavor to curries and rice dishes, kurkuma has gained popularity in the wellness community for its potential health benefits, including aiding digestion, reducing inflammation, and promoting brain function.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
