So, what is l-askorbiinihappo?
L-askorbiinihappo is a Finnish term for a naturally occurring organic compound, also known as L-ascorbic acid or vitamin C. It is an essential nutrient for human health and plays a crucial role in collagen synthesis, immune system function, and iron absorption. L-askorbiinihappo is commonly found in fruits and vegetables, but it can also be used as a food additive to prevent oxidation and preserve freshness. Due to its antioxidant properties, L-askorbiinihappo is often added to processed foods, beverages, and supplements to boost their nutritional value and shelf life.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
