So, what is l-askorbinsyre?
L-askorbinsyre, also known as L-ascorbic acid or vitamin C, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in various biological processes. It acts as an antioxidant and helps protect cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. Additionally, it is essential for the synthesis of collagen, which supports healthy skin, bones, and connective tissues. L-askorbinsyre can be found naturally in citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwis, and bell peppers. It is also commonly used as a food additive to preserve color, enhance flavor, and increase shelf life. As a dietary supplement, L-askorbinsyre may help boost the immune system, improve iron absorption, and prevent scurvy.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
