So, what is laurier?
Laurier, also known as bay leaf, is an aromatic herb that comes from the dried leaves of the bay laurel tree. This herb is a staple in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine and is often used in soups, stews, and sauces to add a subtle, earthy flavor. Laurier leaves are usually added whole to dishes and are removed before serving. They have a slightly bitter taste and a strong, pungent aroma that can infuse a dish with a delightful depth of flavor. Laurier is also thought to have some health benefits, such as improving digestion and reducing inflammation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
