So, what is lecytyny?
Lecytyny, also known as lecithins, are a group of phospholipids commonly found in many plant and animal sources. These versatile compounds are used as emulsifiers, stabilizers, and thickeners in a wide range of food products, including chocolates, margarines, and salad dressings. Lecytyny can also improve texture, enhance flavor, and increase shelf life in baked goods and other processed foods. Derived from sources such as soybeans, eggs, and sunflowers, lecytyny are a natural and essential component of many nutritious foods and are often included in supplements for their potential health benefits.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
