So, what is lupulo?
Lupulo, also known as hops, is a key ingredient in the production of beer. This cone-shaped flower is the female reproductive part of the hop plant and provides a distinct bitterness, flavor, and aroma to beer. Lupulo has been used for centuries in brewing and has been found to have antibacterial properties, which help preserve beer. The type and amount of lupulo used can greatly impact the taste and aroma of beer, with different varieties offering flavors ranging from floral to citrusy to piney. In addition to beer, lupulo has also been used in herbal medicine for its sedative and calming effects.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
