So, what is magnézium-karbonát?
Magnesium carbonate, also known as magnesite, is a white, odorless, and tasteless inorganic compound with the chemical formula MgCO3. It is commonly used as an ingredient in food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic products as an anti-caking agent, color retention agent, and acidity regulator. Magnesium carbonate has a low solubility in water and is often used in powdered form. It is an important source of magnesium, an essential mineral that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including muscle and nerve function, bone health, and energy metabolism. Magnesium carbonate is generally considered safe for consumption in small amounts and has no known adverse effects.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
