So, what is malt d orge?
Malt d'orge, also known as barley malt, is a versatile ingredient commonly used in the food industry. It is made by germinating barley grains, then drying and roasting them to develop a rich, complex flavor profile. This process converts the grain's starch into sugar, making it an ideal ingredient for baking, brewing, and cooking. Malt d'orge is often used to add sweetness, depth, and color to bread, beer, and whiskey, as well as in sauces, marinades, and desserts. It is also a great source of nutrients such as fiber, protein, and vitamins B and E, making it a healthy addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
