So, what is maltodekstryna?
Maltodekstryna, also known as maltodextrin, is a commonly used food additive derived from starch. It is a white, odorless, and slightly sweet powder that is easily digestible and soluble in water. Maltodekstryna is often used as a thickener or filler in processed foods and beverages, as well as a source of carbohydrates in sports drinks and energy bars. It is also sometimes used as a substitute for sugar in low-calorie and sugar-free products. Maltodekstryna is generally considered safe for consumption, but may cause spikes in blood sugar levels in individuals with diabetes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
