So, what is merluza del cabo?
Merluza del cabo, also known as Cape Hake, is a type of fish commonly found in the cold waters off the coast of South Africa. It has a firm and flaky white flesh that is mild in taste and low in fat, making it a popular choice for seafood dishes. Merluza del cabo is high in protein and contains essential nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins B12 and D, and selenium. This versatile ingredient can be grilled, baked, fried, or boiled and pairs well with a variety of sauces and spices.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
