So, what is methylcelulóza?
Methylcellulose is a versatile food ingredient that is derived from cellulose, a natural polymer found in plant cell walls. It is widely used as a thickener, stabilizer, and emulsifier in various food products such as baked goods, dairy products, and sauces. Methylcellulose helps to improve texture, increase viscosity, and enhance mouthfeel without altering the taste of the final product. Due to its unique properties, it is also used as a vegan substitute for gelatin in many recipes. Methylcellulose is considered safe for consumption and is approved by regulatory agencies worldwide.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
