So, what is milchsäurebakterien?
Milchsäurebakterien, also known as lactic acid bacteria, are a group of microorganisms that play a crucial role in food production and preservation. They are commonly found in fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, pickles, and sourdough bread. These bacteria convert sugars into lactic acid, which gives fermented foods their characteristic tangy flavor and preserves them by creating an acidic environment that inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria. Milchsäurebakterien are also used in the production of probiotic supplements, as they are believed to promote digestive health and boost the immune system.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
