So, what is milho?
Milho is a Portuguese term for maize, a grain native to Central America and commonly used as a food ingredient worldwide. It has a distinctively sweet taste and a slightly chewy texture that can be enjoyed in various forms, such as cornmeal, cornstarch, and corn syrup. This versatile ingredient can be used in a wide range of dishes, including tortillas, tacos, soups, and stews. In addition to its culinary uses, milho is also a rich source of essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, iron, and magnesium, making it a nutritious addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
