So, what is mirabelle?
Mirabelle is a small, yellow, sweet plum that is widely cultivated in France and Germany. This fruit has a distinct taste that is a combination of honey and apricot with a slightly tart finish. It is commonly used in baking, especially in tarts, jams, and preserves. Mirabelle is also used to make a liqueur, known as Mirabelle eau-de-vie, which is enjoyed as an after-dinner digestif. This fruit is low in calories and high in antioxidants and vitamins, making it a healthy addition to any diet. Mirabelle season is typically from August to September and is enjoyed throughout Europe.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
