So, what is palmier?
Palmier, also known as "elephant ear" or "palm tree" cookie, is a sweet French pastry made from puff pastry dough that is rolled in sugar and baked until golden brown. The unique shape of the palmier resembles a palm leaf or butterfly, with flaky layers that are light and crisp yet rich in flavor. Often enjoyed as a breakfast treat or with a cup of coffee or tea, palmiers can also be filled with various toppings such as chocolate, almond paste, or fruit preserves to add extra sweetness and texture. This classic French delicacy is perfect for indulging in a moment of pure culinary pleasure.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
