So, what is palmiticthe?
Palmitic acid is a saturated fatty acid commonly found in animal and plant-based foods. It is a major component of palm oil and palm kernel oil, hence the name "palmiticthe." Palmitic acid is used as a food additive and is also found naturally in many foods such as meat, dairy products, and chocolate. It has been linked to increased levels of LDL or "bad" cholesterol, which can lead to cardiovascular disease. However, palmitic acid also plays an important role in the body as a source of energy and in the production of hormones and cell membranes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
