So, what is paneer?
Paneer is a fresh cheese that originates from the Indian subcontinent, particularly popular in Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi cuisine. It is made by curdling hot milk with an acidic substance such as lemon juice or vinegar, and then draining the whey. Paneer has a crumbly texture and mild, slightly tangy flavor that makes it a versatile ingredient in cooking. It is often used in vegetarian dishes such as curries, saag paneer, and paneer tikka. Paneer is also a good source of protein and calcium, making it a healthy addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
