So, what is pfefferkörner?
Pfefferkörner, also known as peppercorns, are small spherical fruits that come from the flowering vine plant Piper nigrum. These spicy little balls are typically harvested when they are still unripe, then left to dry in the sun until they turn a dark brown or black color. Pfefferkörner are prized for their potent, aromatic flavor and are a staple ingredient in cuisines around the world. They can be ground into a powder or used whole in dishes like soups, stews, marinades, and sauces to add a bold, zesty kick.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
