So, what is phytomenadione?
Phytomenadione, also known as vitamin K1, is a fat-soluble nutrient found in leafy green vegetables, vegetable oils, and some fruits. It plays an important role in blood clotting and bone health, as well as supporting cardiovascular health and proper brain function. Phytomenadione is also used as a dietary supplement for individuals who have difficulty absorbing fat-soluble vitamins, and as a therapeutic agent to reverse the effects of certain blood thinning medications. Due to its vital functions in the body, phytomenadione is an essential nutrient that should be included in a balanced diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
