So, what is piments <jalapeno>?
Jalapeno peppers, also known as piments, are a type of chili pepper that originated in Mexico. They are small to medium-sized, with a smooth, shiny green skin that turns red as they mature. Jalapenos are known for their distinctive spicy flavor, with a moderate heat level that ranges from 2,500 to 8,000 on the Scoville scale. They are commonly used in Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine, and can be found fresh, pickled, or canned. Jalapenos are a great source of vitamins C and A, as well as antioxidants, making them a healthy and flavorful addition to many dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
