So, what is plantago?
Plantago is a versatile and nutrient-dense herb that has been used for centuries in traditional medicine practices. Also known as psyllium or flea seed, plantago's small, oval-shaped seeds are high in soluble fiber and contain a range of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B6, calcium, and potassium. Due to its ability to absorb water, plantago is commonly used as a natural laxative and digestive aid. It may also help regulate blood sugar levels and lower cholesterol. In addition to its health benefits, plantago can be used as a gluten-free flour substitute in baking or added to smoothies and other recipes to boost their nutritional content.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
