So, what is plasma de porc?
Plasma de porc, or porcine plasma, is a protein-rich ingredient derived from the blood of pigs. It is commonly used as a feed additive for livestock to promote growth and improve overall health. This ingredient contains essential amino acids, immunoglobulins, and other nutrients that support animal development, particularly in young animals. Porcine plasma has also been used in human food products such as protein bars due to its high protein content. However, it is important to note that some people may have allergic reactions to porcine plasma, and it should be avoided by those with pork allergies.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
