So, what is powdered milk?
Powdered milk, also known as dry milk or milk powder, is a dairy product made by evaporating milk until it's almost entirely dry. The resulting substance is then ground into a fine powder that can be easily stored and reconstituted with water when needed. Powdered milk has a long shelf life and is a popular ingredient in many recipes, including baked goods, soups, and beverages like hot chocolate. It's also used as a convenient alternative to fresh milk in emergency situations, as well as in regions where fresh milk is not readily available. Additionally, powdered milk is often fortified with vitamins and minerals to boost its nutritional value.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
