So, what is proline?
Proline is a non-essential amino acid that is vital to the proper functioning of the human body. It is a structural component of proteins, playing a key role in the formation and stability of collagen, the most abundant protein in the body. Proline is also involved in the biosynthesis of other important compounds such as neurotransmitters, hormones, and enzymes. It is commonly found in high-protein foods such as meat, dairy, and eggs, and is often used as a supplement to promote muscle growth and recovery, as well as to support healthy skin, hair, and nails. Additionally, proline has been shown to have antioxidant properties, protecting cells from oxidative stress and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
