So, what is propylene?
Propylene, also known as propene, is a colorless and highly flammable gas that belongs to the class of olefins. It is derived from petroleum and natural gas and is widely used as a chemical building block in the manufacturing of various products. Propylene is a key ingredient in the production of polypropylene, which is used in the manufacturing of plastic containers, packaging materials, and textiles. It is also used in the production of propylene oxide, acrylonitrile, and cumene, among other chemicals. In addition, propylene is used as a refrigerant, fuel gas, and as a component in aerosol sprays.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
