So, what is quall?
Quall is a unique food ingredient that is derived from the sap of the Quall tree, native to Southeast Asia. The sap is collected by making small incisions in the bark and allowing it to drip into containers. The sap is then boiled down to a thick, amber-colored syrup with a rich, caramel-like flavor and aroma. Quall syrup is commonly used as a sweetener in Southeast Asian cuisine, especially in dishes such as curries, marinades, and sauces. It is also used in traditional medicine for its supposed health benefits, including aiding digestion and boosting immunity. Quall syrup is a versatile ingredient that adds depth and complexity to any dish it's used in.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
