So, what is sacharoza?

Sacharoza, also known as table sugar or sucrose, is a common disaccharide found in many foods and beverages. It is made up of glucose and fructose molecules bonded together and is commonly derived from sugarcane or sugar beets. Sacharoza is often used as a sweetening agent due to its ability to enhance flavor and sweetness. While it can provide a quick source of energy, excessive consumption of sacharoza has been linked to various health issues such as tooth decay and obesity. Despite this, it remains a popular ingredient in many desserts and processed foods.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like sacharoza?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
