So, what is salceson?
Salceson, also known as Polish head cheese or pork jelly, is a type of cold cut made from pork meat and gelatin. The name comes from the combination of two Polish words, "sól" meaning salt, and "ceson" meaning pork. The meat is usually seasoned with salt, pepper, and spices before being boiled and pressed into a loaf shape. Salceson is typically served in thin slices and is a popular addition to sandwiches and charcuterie boards. Its unique texture, which is soft and spreadable when served chilled, makes it a versatile ingredient in many traditional Polish dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
