So, what is semilla?
Semilla is a Spanish term for "seed," referring to the reproductive part of a plant. These small but mighty powerhouses are packed with essential nutrients, including protein, healthy fats, fiber, and a range of vitamins and minerals. Semillas are a versatile ingredient used in many cuisines, from sprinkling them on top of salads and yogurt bowls, to making seed butter, and even using them as a crunchy coating for chicken or fish. Whether you choose chia, pumpkin, sunflower, or flaxseed, semillas are a nutritious addition to any meal or snack.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
