So, what is sezam?
Sesame seeds, also known as "sezam," are tiny, oval-shaped seeds with a nutty flavor and crunchy texture. They are a common ingredient in many cuisines around the world, particularly in Asian and Middle Eastern dishes. Sesame seeds are high in healthy fats, protein, fiber, and various essential minerals, making them a nutritious addition to any diet. They can be eaten raw or roasted, and are often used as a garnish on salads, stir-fries, and sushi rolls. Sesame oil, which is extracted from the seeds, is also a popular cooking oil with a distinct nutty flavor.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
