So, what is silikon dioksida?
Silikon dioksida, also known as silicon dioxide, is a naturally occurring mineral compound composed of silicon and oxygen. It is commonly used in the food industry as an anti-caking agent and to improve the flow of powdered ingredients. Silikon dioksida is odorless, tasteless, and has a fine, white, powdery appearance. It is often added to foods such as spices, salt, and powdered milk to prevent clumping and ensure consistent texture. In addition to its use in food, silikon dioksida is also found in a variety of industrial and commercial applications, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and electronics. Despite its widespread use, silikon dioksida is generally considered safe for consumption when used within reasonable limits.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
