So, what is śliwka?
Sliwka, also known as Polish plum, is a juicy, sweet fruit with a slightly tart taste that comes from the Prunus domestica plant. This fruit is a staple ingredient in many traditional Polish dishes, including pierogi and kompot. Sliwka can be enjoyed fresh, dried, or in jam form, and is often used as a natural sweetener in desserts and baked goods. Rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as dietary fiber, sliwka is a nutritious and delicious ingredient that adds a unique flavor to any recipe.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
