So, what is solsikke?
Solsikke is the Danish term for sunflower, a bright and cheerful plant that produces a variety of edible components. Sunflower seeds, the most common part used in cooking, have a slightly nutty flavor and are often enjoyed as a healthy snack or added to baked goods, salads, or smoothies. Solsikke oil, extracted from the seeds, has a high smoke point and is frequently used for frying or as a dressing for salads. This versatile ingredient is also rich in vitamins and minerals, making it a nutritious addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
