So, what is sorbinsyre?

Sorbinsyre, also known as sorbic acid, is a natural organic compound commonly used as a food preservative to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and fungi. It is a white crystalline powder with a slightly acidic taste and is soluble in water, alcohol, and ether. Sorbinsyre is found naturally in some fruits such as berries, but it is usually produced synthetically for commercial use. It is commonly added to baked goods, cheeses, and beverages to extend their shelf life and maintain freshness. While generally considered safe, excessive consumption of sorbinsyre may cause mild gastrointestinal issues in some individuals.
