So, what is soy oil?
Soy oil is a versatile cooking oil derived from soybeans, a legume native to East Asia. With its neutral flavor and high smoke point, it's perfect for frying, baking, and sautéing. Soy oil is also a rich source of essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid and omega-3 fatty acids, which have been linked to numerous health benefits. In addition, soy oil is low in saturated fat and cholesterol-free, making it a healthier alternative to many other oils. Its light color and mild taste make it an ideal choice for dishes where you want the other flavors to shine through.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
