So, what is stearinezuur?
Stearinezuur, also known as stearic acid, is a saturated fatty acid that is commonly found in animal and vegetable fats. It is a waxy, colorless substance that has a melting point of around 70 °C. Stearinezuur is often used in the production of cosmetics, soaps, and candles due to its hardening properties. It is also used as a food additive to improve the texture of certain foods and prevent them from separating. Stearinezuur can be found naturally in foods such as cocoa butter and animal fat, but it is also produced synthetically for commercial use.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
