So, what is steviolglycosiden?
Steviolglycosides are natural sweeteners extracted from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant. These non-caloric compounds are up to 300 times sweeter than regular sugar and have gained popularity as a sugar substitute in recent years. Steviolglycosides do not raise blood sugar levels, making them a suitable option for people with diabetes. They also have a negligible impact on tooth decay, making them a healthier alternative to sugar. Steviolglycosides can be found in various food and beverage products, including soft drinks, chewing gum, and baked goods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
