So, what is szerecsendió?
Szerecsendió, also known as nutmeg, is a warm and aromatic spice that is commonly used in both sweet and savory dishes. The seed of a tropical evergreen tree, szerecsendió has a slightly sweet and nutty flavor with hints of cinnamon and cloves. It is often grated or ground and used in baking, soups, stews, and even coffee. In addition to its culinary uses, szerecsendió has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries, including as a natural pain reliever and sleep aid. However, it should be used in moderation, as consuming large amounts can be toxic.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
