So, what is tapiokamehl?
Tapiokamehl, also known as tapioca flour, is a gluten-free starch extracted from cassava roots. It has a fine, powdery texture and a neutral taste, making it a versatile ingredient in many dishes. Tapiokamehl is a common ingredient in Asian cuisine, particularly in desserts, where it is used to make chewy, translucent pearls or noodles. It can also be used as a thickener in soups, sauces, and gravies, and as a binder in gluten-free baked goods. Tapiokamehl is an excellent alternative to wheat flour for those with gluten sensitivities, and its high starch content makes it a great energy source.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
