So, what is tarragon?
Tarragon is a delicate herb known for its sweet and slightly anise-like flavor. Its long, slender leaves are bright green and can be used either fresh or dried. Tarragon is often used to enhance the flavor of chicken, fish, and egg dishes, as well as in sauces such as béarnaise and tartar sauce. It is also a key ingredient in French cuisine, particularly in dishes like fines herbes, which is a blend of tarragon, chives, parsley, and chervil. Besides its culinary uses, tarragon is also known for its potential health benefits, such as anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
