So, what is tartrates de sodium?
Sodium tartrates are natural crystalline salts derived from tartaric acid. These colorless, odorless crystals are commonly used as a leavening agent in baking and as a stabilizer in the food industry. Sodium tartrates have a sour taste and can be used to enhance flavors in various food products, including candies, soft drinks, and dairy products. They are also used in the production of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and metal cleaning agents. Sodium tartrates are safe for consumption and are often preferred over other chemical additives due to their natural origin and low toxicity.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
