So, what is tarwebloem?
Tarwebloem is a Dutch term for wheat flour, which is derived from the ground endosperm of wheat kernels. This versatile and essential ingredient is widely used in baking and cooking to create a variety of delicious dishes, including bread, cakes, pastries, and noodles. Tarwebloem is a high-protein flour with a fine texture, making it perfect for producing light, fluffy baked goods. It also contains gluten, which gives bread its elasticity and chewiness. With its neutral flavor and smooth consistency, tarwebloem is a staple ingredient in many Dutch kitchens and an essential component of traditional Dutch cuisine.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
